Get started
- Drop audio files or a folder into VEXO, or choose Add Files.
- Confirm the import, then choose an output format and destination folder.
- Start converting and follow progress; pause, resume, or cancel when needed.
- Afterward, use History or Finder to locate the output.
Common questions
Why will a file not import?
VEXO checks the actual audio content and the bundled engine's decoding ability. A damaged file, missing audio stream or decoder, insufficient file access, or genuinely protected media may prevent import. Changing a filename extension does not change its content.
Can it convert protected music-service downloads?
VEXO does not bypass DRM, extract keys, or defeat access controls. Use audio you have permission to process and that can be decoded without circumvention.
Which output formats are supported?
Common choices include MP3, M4A (AAC or ALAC), FLAC, and WAV. The app only shows choices with a suitable encoder and container in the bundled engine; no conversion is guaranteed for every source and destination pair.
Will a matching output name be overwritten?
The default is to add a number. Settings also offers Ask, Skip, and explicit Overwrite. The original input is not silently replaced.
Is my audio uploaded?
The current version converts locally, with no account or audio upload. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
How can I report a problem?
Include the VEXO version, macOS version, approximate input and output formats, and the error message. You can open the local logs folder from Settings. Logs may contain personal file paths and media information, so review and redact them before sending. You do not need to send the original audio.
